Touring kayaks are an excellent source for exploring all types of waterways, along with satisfying your fitness requirements. Building on our Aventura line of light touring kayaks, the Aquarius was born! This 18' touring kayak has the length and features of a proper touring kayak, along with the benefits of the LDPE construction; the plastic hull provides durability fiberglass layups lack. Ample hatch space makes this an excellent camping vessel for the weekend camper, or the hardcore kayak expeditioner. The hatch layout provides one hatch on the foredeck; this can be utilized for keeping your phone, GPS or other devices safe from spray or taking a dip in the water. The "Day Hatch" located behind the seat is a great spot for lunches or extra clothing; this hatch can be accessed while you're in the cockpit. The round bow hatch is large enough for tents and other gear, and the smaller diameter prevents blow outs when taking chop over the bow or when launching from the beach. The large oval stern hatch will hold larger gear for later use. As with most touring kayaks, we kept the deck layout simple, deck bungees for maps and other immediate needs, rescue deck lines for wet entries, and some rescue handles to keep your boat safely within reach when in the water.
